Following the mega-success of the first season, AMERICAN CRIME STORY: THE PEOPLE VS. OJ, Ryan Murphy and team are back to explore another dark crime the shook America.  THE ASSASINATION OF GIANNI VERSACE: AMERICAN CRIME STORY follows serial killer Andrew Cunanan (Darrin Criss) as his murder-filled crime spree across American led him to the front door of famed fashion designer Gianni Versace, played by Edgar Ramirez.

After an award-speckled first season, Murphy has a lot to live up to.  However based on the looks of the trailer and the star-studded cast I think AMERICAN CRIME STORY will avoid the dreaded sophomore jinx.  The shockingly spot on cast is rounded out with Ricky Martin, Penelope Cruz, Max Greenfield and Finn Whittrock.  The 10-episode series, based on the book, Vulgar Favors: Andrew Cunanan, Gianni Versace, and the Largest Failed Manhunt in U. S. History, by Maureen Orth will premier on FX on January 17, 2018. Check out the chilling trailer below.
