Oh good grief! For fans of the not yet released and still in post-production JURASSIC WORLD: KINGDOM FALLEN you’ll be happy to know that a third installment in the JURASSIC WORLD saga is already in development. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Emily Carmichael (PACIFIC RIM: UPRISING) will write the script with series mainstay Colin Trevorrow. Steven Spielberg will return to produce, along with Trevorrow, and Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley.

Obviously, the plot details and casting are being kept under wraps, but my guess is Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are running away from dinosaurs. The announcement of this third installment before the release of the second installment shows a lot of presumptuous return on marketing and investment faith in the impact KINGDOM FALLEN will probably have. I thoroughly enjoyed JURASSIC WORLD, even with it’s flaws, and felt it was the best sequel in the entire series. While the second installment is due in theaters this June 22nd, the third installment is due June 11, 2021.
