She’s baaaaaaacckkk……. AMERICAN HORROR STORY mainstay Sarah Paulson recently revealed at the Television Critic’s Panel that Emmy Winner Jessica Lange will return to the horror anthology series in the upcoming season.  Lange left the series after it’s fourth season, FREAK SHOW, and has been dodging questions about her inevitable return ever since.  The theme of the upcoming season, subtitled APOCALYPSE, will be a mashup of the first and third season themes, MURDER HOUSE and COVEN, respectively.  Lange will return as her Murder House character, Constance Langdon,  for an episode that will be directed by Paulson.  It was also announced that AMERICAN HORROR STORY will scare us for at least a couple of more years as the show has been renewed for 2 more seasons beyond APOCALYPSE.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: APOCALYPSE will premiere on September 12th on FX.
