New Line’s THE CONJURING universe is expanding again. It was announced last summer that a third ANNABELLE film was in the works. This new installment sees the return of THE CONJURING’s Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. The new installment, aptly titled ANABELLE COMES HOME marks the directorial debut of Gary Dauberman who wrote the first 2 ANABELLE films. The official synopsis follows Ed and Lorraine Warren who are “determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, they bring the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, placing her “safety” behind sacred glass and enlisting a priest’s holy blessing. But an unholy night of horror awaits as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who all set their sights on a new target – the Warren’s ten-year-old daughter Judy (Mckenna Grace), and her babysitters (Madison Iseman and Katie Sarife).”
ANNABELLE COMES HOME on June 28th. Stay tuned for the official trailer.
LMAO. So you’re not a fan?

The Annabelle films are very subpar for me. The first was just awful and the second was better but still illogical in some places.

I haven’t seen the first. I did see the second one though. So I like certain parts but it does a little too much towards the end. lol

Yeah the second was a series of jump scares but it mostly worked.

I’m tired of seeing these kinds of horror films. We need to see more that are drama mixed with horror. Aka, Hereditary, A Quiet Place, A bird box. (To be honest, I didn’t like bird box that much but at least it didn’t rely on jumpscares).

Agreed. At this point these Conjuring spinoffs are just cash grabs the same way the slasher sequels were in the 80s.

Yep. But I must admit I would rather see a slasher sequel over a conjuring or Annabelle sequel. 🙂
