Ready to go camping ‘Ryan Murphy’ style? As we all know the upcoming season of FX stable, AMERICAN HORROR STORY, takes a trip back to 1980s and places us at a campground. This callback to the FRIDAY THE 13th, THE BURNING, and (I seriously hope) SLEEPAWAY CAMP movies has me more intrigued for this season than I’ve been for the series since…HOTEL? With Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters out and a mostly new crop of actors, does this mean we’re in a new era of AHS? I hope so. Like THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS, I’m all for a huge cast overhaul. Ryan Murphy released character profiles on his social media today and so far I’m impressed. Never has Dan Hartman’s ‘I Can Dream About You’ playing in the background been more ominous. While official character descriptions haven’t yet been released, I’m sure we can figure out the basic breakdown of the character’s descriptions based on the videos. As mentioned yesterday, POSE breakout star Angelica Ross will join Emma Roberts and Gus Kenworthy in the new season. Others rounding out the cast include Matthew Morrison, Gus Kenworthy, Zach Villa, DeRon Horton , Billie Lourd, Cody Fern, Leslie Grossman, and John Carroll Lynch.
