THE GRUDGE is back because…why not?

Sharing the same continuity as the 2004’s THE GRUDGE starring Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jason Behr, 2020’s THE GRUDGE, according to Sony pictures is about A single mother and young detective who discovers that a suburban house is cursed by a vengeful ghost that dooms those who enter it with a violent death. Now, she runs to save herself and her son from demonic spirits from the cursed house in her neighborhood.

This reboot/sequel, directed by Nicolas Pesce, stars Betty Gilpin, Andrea Riseborough, Lin Shaye and John Cho.

THE GRUDGE, which is hopefully better than THE GRUDGE 3 opens in theaters on January 3, 2020.
