The first trailer for the new CANDYMAN film has finally dropped…and I’m SUPER EXCITED!

Ever since the film was announced various rumors regarding the cast and plot emerged and died and re-emerged and died again. It looks like director Nia DaCosta wanted to keep the public… hooked on the film (I’m here all night folks!) Earlier this week a couple of teasers dropped that still left much to the imagination but folks- we finally have an idea of what to expect from this new sequel. Staring Teyonah Parris, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and the return of Tony Todd and Vanessa Williams CANDYMAN 2020 looks like a fine return to form and can erase the trash that was CANDYMAN 3. The new film looks moody, suspenseful, timely and downright scary! It looks like the myth of CANDYMAN is more real than we thought.

CANDYMAN is scheduled for release on June 12th in theaters everywhere.
