The Corona Man is here fucking more shit up every day. Nia DaCosta’s CANDYMAN has officially been pushed from its original June opening to September 25th. The new movie, which is being described as a spiritual sequel to the 1992 original film, is the latest Hollywood release that’s being pushed back as theaters are shut down during the pandemic. The Nia DaCosta directed film brings us back to Chicago, the setting of the first film, as the legend of Candyman still has a horrific effect on the residents of the now-gentrified, former grounds of Cabrini-Green. Starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Teyonah Parris, Vanessa L. Williams and Tony Todd the new CANDYMAN will be released just a few weeks prior to another highly anticipated horror sequel, HALLOWEEN KILLS. Fall 2020 is going to be a memorable one for horror fans.
