After over 20 years it’s still not safe to go into the woods!

We have our first look at the upcoming WRONG TURN reboot and, dare I say it, this movie looks really good. After a string of low-quality sequels you’ll have to forgive the complete shock in my tone. I enjoyed the first film, absolutely LOVED the second film, and after that there’s not much I can say about the series. Some of the guys were hot, I guess. Alan B. McElroy, who wrote the original WRONG TURN, returns to the series to officially distant this installment from the previous sequels. Just like HALLOWEEN 2018 this new installment only links itself to the original film and seems to create it’s own, separate mythos. (Ironically, McElroy previously reinvigorated the HALLOWEEN series as the screenwriter of HALLOWEEN 4). Golden Globe-winning actor Matthew Modine headlines a new cast which includes Charlotte Vega, Damian Maffei and Emma DuMont.

According to IMDB, the plot follows:

A Friends hiking the Appalachian Trail are confronted by ‘The Foundation’, a community of people who have lived in the mountains for hundreds of years.

Sure.

It sounds exactly like the original premise. By the looks of the trailer this new WRONG TURN looks like it will elevate the series with high tension and true suspense. Hopefully this erases the headaches brought on from WRONG TURN 3-6.
