Empire has gotten their hands on a new image of ole Mikey Myers in the upcoming HALLOWEEN KILLS. Emerging from a raging house fire we have our first clue on how Michael Myers managed to escape the trap set for him in the 2018 sequel. This must be before Laurie screams “Let it burn!” in the teaser.
Since the HALLOWEEN KILLS was delayed an entire year due to the world wide pandemic, I fall into the camp of not wanting to know or see anything more about the film until closer to its release. I’m so stoked for the new film that I don’t want any of my excitement diluted with too much news and information. However it’s a new day, a new era in America, and I’m feeling more upbeat than I have in a hot minute so this image, this intriguing if basic image, of Michael feels right. Director and co-writer, David Gordon Green, revealed : “This movie is a great popcorn genre movie and not really any kind of statement, but it’s strange how things line up. It couldn’t be a more interesting time to release a movie like this.” Mkay.

Rumor has it we’ll be gifted with the official trailer within the next month. This seems highly unlikely to me as it’s such a great distance between now and the October 15th release date but who knows? Maybe an “enhanced” teaser will debut during the Superbowl. Y’all let me know. I’ll be too busy watching, literally, anything else.
Does this new image raise your excitement for HALLOWEEN KILLS or are you just ready for the damn thing already?
