George Romero’s 1968 classic, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, is being reborn.  After numerous remakes, unofficial sequels and knockoffs, a new take on the classic is coming that has me excited.  NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: REBIRTH, according to its Facebook page, it’s  “Not so much a remake as it is a modern-day retelling of the ground-breaking horror masterpiece, Rebirth will attempt to tackle the human and political topics the original piece is so recognized for and readdress them from a modern angle. Topics acknowledged in the original film such as racial prejudices and government control will be once again brought to the forefront while interjecting the ideas of homophobia and religious influence on modern society.”

The trailer looks impressive and after some of the most recent sequels  (and the current disaster known as THE WALKING DEAD) this new zombie take is more than welcome.  To find out more about NOTLD:REBIRTH click here.
