Dammit Ryan Murphy! You got me again! I pretty much bailed on the last season of AMERICAN HORROR STORY. The reality of Trump as President and his supporters douch-bag, incel-laced anger is too real for me to revel in the fictional version of it so I dipped out after the first episode. (From what I’ve heard, it was a pretty strong season so hopefully after the impeachment gets rolling I’ll give it another shot.) The upcoming season not only brings back Emmy Winner Jessica Lange but also introduces diva extraordinaire, Joan Collins. Subtitled, ‘APOCALYPSE’ the storyline will merge the ‘MURDER HOUSE’ and ‘COVEN’ seasons. Most of the cast from both seasons returns.
AMERICAN HORROR STORY: APOCALYPSE returns to FX on September 12th.

I have only watched the first season of this show. I thought it was ok in the beginning but felt it lost it’s horror element. Are the other seasons good?

The second season, Asylum, was very good and kept the horror element going. The other seasons fell under the weight of the success and reputation of the show and tried too hard to be controversial.
