They got Lynn Whitfield in this mess?

I kid. She looked like she’s having fun. The trailer for the Rusty Cundieff- Darin Scott directed TALES FROM THE HOOD 3 has finally dropped ahead of it’s October 6th release on blu-ray/DVD and digital. Tony Todd joins the action for this installment, presumably taking over the role of Mr. Simms previously played by Clarence Williams III and David Keith, respectively. Fortunately, TALES 3 looks much, much, much, much better than TALES 2. It looks like it has the fun energy from the original. The popular anthology franchise balances traditional horror with real life horror ranging from racial violence to domestic abuse to government experimentations on its citizens. With this year being the 25th anniversary of the original film, TALES FROM THE HOOD 3 looks like a welcome addition to the series and a reminder to not count out an entire franchise because of one inferior sequel cause that last one was a hot mess.

In addition to its release on blu-ray/DVD and digital on October 6th, the movie will also air on SyFy in the same month. Just in time for Halloween.
